Where are you located?

We are situated on our own 20 acres of cleared/wooded land about 400 miles north of Toronto , Ontario Canada .

Puppy Availability

Do you have puppies available and how can I reserve a puppy?

Because I am not a “first-come, first-serve” kind of breeder when it comes to reserving puppies, I am always accepting reservations for puppies. My number one priority is always to match puppies to the proper caregivers and their situations. Letting me know that you are interested in a StormnAngels puppy is the first step and you can do that by filling in the on-line reservation questionnaire found here. There is no obligation by filling out the reservation questionnaire. It simply alerts us that you would like a puppy and that you are agreeable to be contacted by us so that we may discover if the Tibetan Mastiff is the right breed for you, your family and your lifestyle. If you are approved as a potential home after our preliminary contact, we then begin a more in-depth discussion of your commitment to a StormnAngels puppy.

Distance Traveling and Shipping

Do you ship puppies and/or adult dogs?

Distance traveling is something we must contend with all the time but we have been able to manage very well when it comes to having the puppies

1) picked up at our home,

2) driven to a more convenient meeting place, or

3) put on planes to their various destinations.

Some families have chosen to make the drive up to our home or visit to pick up their own puppy and that is always our preferred method of puppy transfer. It is a chance for new owners to meet with our family and to meet the dogs but it is also our chance to meet with you.

While we would love to meet with you we have had to be realistic about the fact that we live in a very cold environment that is typically experiencing the harshest winter driving conditions when it is time for puppies to travel home. Not everyone can drive the distance nor is everyone experienced with driving on our snowy northern Canadian roads. For those reasons we do make an airport run and travel the 8-10 hours to Pearson International Airport in Toronto , Ontario . We are very used to making this trip and we are also familiar with making the travel arrangements for dogs to be flown out of Toronto . We do everything possible to ensure that the flight your puppy is on is a direct one. If at all possible, we do encourage new owners to fly in and meet us at the Toronto airport so that we can make the puppy transfer there. We all feel better when puppy will be accompanied home by the new owner(s).

Since we do make our way to the Toronto area it is generally easy enough at this time to make arrangements to meet with our southern Ontario residents or those from the US that are willing to travel by car up to the Canadian-US border. The transfer of the puppy and the transportation over the US border is generally very simple as there is no quarantine between the two countries.

While we do have some StormnAngels dogs stay within our own Canadian borders, many of our puppies reside in various states throughout the US . While too numerous to mention here, we have dogs that live in California, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and up into Oregon and Washington State, for example. Dogs from our breeding program also reside in Illinois , Minnesota , Indiana , over into New York State , Vermont , Massachusetts and down into Virginia . We have also flown our dogs abroad to such European countries as Finland , the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom .

Shipping Costs

What are the average shipping costs for a Tibetan Mastiff puppy?

It has been our experience that shipping a 10-12 week old puppy is not too expensive at all. Somewhere in the $200-$350.00 range when it comes to travel within Canada and the US . This usually includes the cost of the shipping crate. Farther distance travel is generally more but ALL flight expenses are determined by the airline. These costs are calculated based on size and weight of puppy/dog and the crate.

Paperwork

What paperwork is required to bring a puppy into the United States?

Generally all that is required is an official health certificate that is issued by the vet that cares for our dogs. A rabies vaccination certificate is required if puppies and dogs are older than 12-weeks of age.

What paperwork is required to fly a puppy overseas?

The answer to this question is dependent upon the country to which the puppy/dog is being flown. Some countries like the UK , for example, do have much stricter paperwork requirements and there is a required Pet Passport and/or quarantine obligation.
